Day 10: The trees of Olympos

Bodrum to Fethiye to Olympos – I am in full stride, working my way along the bottom left corner of Turkey.  I haven't blogged for a while because I haven't had access to a PC.  My lodgings usually have wireless internet but I haven't figured out how to post to my blog from the iPaq.  Maybe I should just spam everyone in email ...

Bodrum

Ancient Halicanassus has changed since ancient times but Herodotus just might be able to remember the hills.

Fethiye

A pretty town spread around a bay – quite reminiscent of Dunedinin New Zealand.  There is still snow on the higher peaks.  Until the snow melts I'm in no hurry to get to Georgia, where spring comes later than here.

Olympos

I plumped for the bungalow option here – a bit of a splurge really but I'm running well under budget and as breakfast and dinner are included, I will recover some of the value by savings on food.  Drinks, alas, are expensive so I shall have to be careful not to blow my food savings on alcohol.

I see Blogger has dated this post to the 2nd of May – which it is, in Australia.  Here it's not quite bedtime on the 1st.
